The White Plains(NY) Journal-News, in todays edition, features two seperate articles on the Pascack Valley Line. the first one deals with tie replacement on the line while the second one refers to a lawsuit as another obstacle to getting off peak service on the line. Links are as follows:

"I think the biggest problem is that NJ Transit should have answered these people initially and didn't," said New City commuter Orrin Getz, who has been asking MTA and NJ Transit officials for years to put in the sidings. "I can almost understand the local communities' frustration."
Uh, this proposal has been around for years. It was on NJT's 2020 (now 2025) list, so there can be no shock.

Ugh..these towns really kill me. I love how EVERY town has to complain about every possible thing they can. All it is is a bunch of nobodys who suddenly feel important because they have "titles" and feel they have complete authority over everything. It's just totally ridiculous that nothing can get done to benefit anyone since there's always people willing to work against you (never willing to work with you of course).

The RR is already there, I don't think some sidings are going to kill the residents. Give me a break..just another bunch of useless stuff that people have to deal with now.
