When the bio generating station was built, was there ever a discussion during the planning phase about the potential for the product to be delivered by rail? Is there any provision in place that would allow the station to consider direct rail shipments, if the need arose? They would be looking at approximately 3 miles of track that would have to be rebuilt, so it certainly wouldn't be a cheap endeavor by any stretch.

I would be surprised if there was. For how much fuel it uses, it could easily be moved via truck. Plus the spur into the old mill would need a major rehab. SLR like most of the G&W owned railroads has been hostile to any new customers, normally turning them to NHCR if they want to ship by rail. Thats reflected by the cut backs to SLR's schedule which now only has them operating twice a week.

The spur into the mill is no longer connected to the mainline, and hasn't been for quite some time. The local area is loaded with available timber at a haul way too short for SLR to do anything.
