Ever since the realignment of the tracks at New Rochelle, where track 4 became track 2, and track 6 became track 4, I've always thought that a better realignment would have left track 2 less slightly realigned, where it would overlay the former track 4 and that the platform for 2 and 4 be widened. New Rochelle is going to get a lot busier after Penn Access opens, and you can only access the Hellgate line (aka the Harlem River line) from 2 and 4.

Completed in 1887, the station has undergone several renovations and expansions, and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2009. Today, the New Rochelle train station serves as a major transportation hub for the city, with connections to the Metro-North Railroad, Amtrak, and local bus service.
