The 8 car set did NOT overnight in Powelton last night. I am unsure as to its location.

Paoli-Thorndale 1502 (turned and ran to Wilmington usually) and 9553 were push-pull previously. The set would overnight along with the two others at Frazer nightly. One Trenton set parks overnights and weekends at Powelton. The other remains at Trenton.
The Wilmington set overnights at Roberts; 1502 is MU's now, and I think it later deadheads out to Elwyn for 9340.
Currently, the current PP assignments (if all goes as planned during the day) are as follows:
West Trenton
Set 1 (MARC set with SEPTA cab): 6325/6374
Set 2: 6321/6378
Trenton (8-car sets)
Set 1: 9724/9745
Set 2: DH Powelton to Suburban Station/1703/9728/9747/DH to Powelton
Paoli-Thorndale
Set 1: 9526/9561 Great Valley Flyer
Set 2: 9538/1565
Wilmington-Newark
Set 1: 1295/9212, 9251/9254

I don't know which car is next, but only five remain to be done: 2402, 2403, 2404, 2406, and 2409.#2406 undergoing overhaul at this time.

9724/9745 is a 6 car set
1703/9728/9747 is the only 8 car set

It went to six after one of the cars got shopped and they didn't have a spare. Not sure why it hasn't gone back to seven. Can't see why Amtrak would have an issue. Back when the PP trains were all only 5 cars before the coming of the center-door coaches, they parked that set AND a 3-car MU set on #7 track each night. That's 8 coaches and a loco with space in between them. So one 8-car set would be no issue, space-wise. But... *shrugs*

phillymountainrailfan wrote: ↑Wed Nov 20, 2019 5:08 amLikely it went to Frazer for inspections and maybe a swap out of locomotive or cab car, perhaps both. They'll have to rotate it out there once in a while for that reason. It's back on its usual 6374 tonight.mcgrath618 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 19, 2019 3:02 pm The MARC set is nowhere to be found in Powelton Yard. Went to Frazer for inspections.
