Positive article ends on an upbeat note (in contrast to current RR news re: loss of traffic):
Seaview will soon increase its workforce and daily operational time to about 14-16 hours per day – trains now run 12 hours a day – to handle the park’s increasing volume. The company is making investments in improving the tracks, including refurbishing tracks near Quonset State Airport, previously out of service for 20 years, which are now back online.
The rail yard near Ocean State Oil also is being rebuilt to support that company and expand Seaview’s operations, Moffett said.
“We’re increasing employment to provide better service,” he said, “and we’re spending private dollars to increase rail traffic.”
