If you have a chance to see Polar Express in 3D at an IMAX theater near you (there aren't many) but there are ones in Rochester, Syracuse, Westchester, I think Albany and then down in the metro NYC area, it's worth the drive. What a railroad movie!

Overall the movie is very good with a good story line. It's been averaging over 8 starts out of 10. The 3D glasses are kind of like huge senior citizen sunglasses that fit over your own glasses, if you wear them.

The connection to NY State? Well, the steam loco is based on Pere Marquette steam engine No. 1225. Pere Marquette made it to NY State via Canada and into Buffalo and I'm sure #1225 made it to Buffalo at least once.
