Here's a couple shots of the 513 being brought out by the trackmobile for pick-up Friday.

On a side note CEFX 3172 and CITX 3101 are sitting in Waterville on the deadline.

Wow. 500 and 513 both look like shells. You can look through and see the back of the other doors. Going to need a lot to get them working again.

That last pic shows 2 (ex?)MBTA F-40's there for reported rebuilding.

I believe they're F40PH-2Cs and they're still very much on the MBTA roster.

Wrong number on the flatcar though...OTTX 93348, which still shows bad-ordered.

Mr. Joe Ferguson of LocoNotes is reporting that MEC 503 was seen in Paducah yesterday with fresh PAR paint and the words "GATX OWNED" in small letters on the side of the cab.

A thought dawns on me.....

When this is all said and done and if followed to its logical conclusion PAR won't own a single engine in their entire fleet. Would this make them a less or a more attractive acquisition target? I can think of reasons for both.

The trailing unit is one of the recent rebuilds. As it passes the camera you can hear that the engine is at idle. D'oh...

does anyone know when they are going back to pan am? and my brother who worked for Guilford says the reason why they might be selling all the loco's to gatx is so they don't have to work on them if it was there own loco and might any 300's go? but this might be a way pan am makes a little money for once and gets some bigger loco's and than if something goes bad between them and gatx they can take back the gatx owned loco's that pan am is leasing so I think this is a smart move on pan am. but what does a retired bar conductor know right?

It's been reported that MEC 507 has now been painted at Paducah Shops. Already road-tested,
so it should be moving east soon. MEC 345 is already on the way back and is on CSX in Avon,
Indiana.

I caught a glimpse of what must have been the 513 westbound through Syracuse, NY about 5:20 this afternoon. It was buried in the middle of a freight and caught me by surprise.

Finally released from bad-order hell at Selkirk. Headed to Paducah, Kentucky.

The 500 is rumored to be finally loaded on a flatcar in Waterville
