The New York Times reports there has been a serious derailment in which there have been thirty fatalities and numerous injuries.

The train was reported to be operating at about 25mph.

Fair Use;
Fatal train accidents have occurred with some frequency in Pakistan as the railway system continues to grapple with deteriorating rail carriages and crumbling tracks. And safety standards are dismally lacking, experts say.
