open tunnel entrance on Boylston St.

I just walked by an open metal hatch on Boylston street leading to the outbound Green Line tunnel. Some teenage boys were taking turns going down the steps to see what was down there.

Idiotic. Any idea why this would be open at 10 PM?

Dunno why it would be open, probably lookin for those kids that went down there, but it seems like an emegency exit, now where are the others?

Ive always wanted to explore the exits etc, but the T police would be there in a heartbeat :/
