Just chugged through here 8:45pm
Thanks for the power line-up Chux...
That explains the horn being loud as hell...lol
Did you notice if 7528 was the lead ???
I know the SD70M's horns
are LOUD....never saw a ES40DC before but
maybe their horns are crazy like that too...
Peace,

The ES40DC are the new "EVO" 7500's series.
The SD70M-2 are the 2000 series

The ES40DC looks like a Dash 9
The SD70M-2 also looks like a Dash 9 but the door on the nose is on the left instead of the right. Also the interior on the conductors side is a little different.

hey all,
'bout 15-20 cars
passed thru around 7:45pm tonight...
i usually can get a rough car count
but it's too dark to see the locos
at night from my window down the block...
peace,

15 - 20 cars is kind of pathetic. I've seen H55's out of Suffern longer than that one. If only we could get some through freights back on this line.

Oh Jeez! You know beggers cant be choosers! Just be thankful that you have a freight with 6 axle power! Pretty soon you may not have anything!! Besides, NS might add through freights over this line in the next 10 years... You never know!

Hey all,

at 1:46pm I was at Rutherford station waiting
for NJT into Hoboken much to my surpsrise I caught
NS 5614 lead and as NS 5613 as the trailer
with about 10 cars heading back towards Croxton.
The NJT train pulled into the Northbound Port Jervis
side while the NS stopped a little further south on the Hoboken
bound track. (both trains Hoboken-bound on both tracks)

Since I'm at work during these hours and had the day
off, what train would this be ?
Is it a special run that runs during the daytime ?
Does this train roll a little further south, stop (but not over
the Hackensack River Bridge) to switch onto the Main Line thru
Lyndhurst and drill the customers there ?
Bano had mentioned this to me once, sometimes they split
off into Lyndhurst, etc.
I don't think this would be the H-07 tho.....
Peace,

Phil
