Evening westbound 8-car ML trains hit Bradley Beach around 10 minutes to the hour. Around 10-12 minutes later a 4-car Comet train follows. Where does the second train originate? LB shuttle? For those who missed the ML? Quite a few passengers get off the 4-car train. Seems like overkill as the 8-car MLs are almost empty by the time they hit Bradley Beach.
Assuming this is a weekday, train 3373 is scheduled at 7:46 in Bradley, with train 2313 being the 8:00 westbound. Train 3373 (8ML) originates in New York and 2313 (4PP) originates in Hoboken.

I was going to ask this eventually, do the NJCL equipment moves have a schedule? I know they run at night mostly but are there specific days?

Thank you NJT4149 for the answer. Makes sense now.

I see the westbound equipment moves usually on Sunday night, just after the 11:00 PM train goes west through Bradley Beach. Not sure about weeknights. I have also seen these moves (WB) early on Sundays, around 2 AM. Can be interesting consists - GP40 4300 LHF with a Comet coach and a ML, cab car with a PL42 backwards and a ML following, an ALP pulling a coach and an electric unit.

Here’s my video of one of the more interesting moves to hit the lower NJCL: MP20B-3 #1004 leading

Comet V 6000 (Unrestricted K5LA) spotted being shoved by GP40PH-2B 4216 on 2312 today at Newark Penn.

Reported signal problems at Morgan draw; 3361 told to report the aspect they get at the interlocking

Glad to know 6000 is back on the Coast Line, haven't seen it or 6004 for that matter in a while now. And I'm guessing 4216 is done on the NJCL, usually the engines that they use on 2312 don't come back for a week or so, even though the cab car is always like 6075 or 6063.

All southbound trains are subject to 20 minute delays between ABD-MTW and Long Branch due to trackwork between Middletown and Hazlet giving Northbound trains priority on track 1

I saw 4216 shoving 2312 today with 6000. So it's still probably in rotation so it may work 2313 tonight.

2303 is nearing my position I'll let y'all know

2303 headed into Red Bank with 4032 leading and 6015 trailing. There is a conductor sitting in the cab of 6015 so give him a wave and maybe he'll blow the horn for ya

3260 is running to Penn with Comet V6050, and the horn is half restricted half not red restricted, making it sound like an RS3L

Very bad night on the Coast... 4367 is having issues in LB; sounded like the Protect was coupling to their train. Meanwhile, 4378 struck a trespasser near Manasquan station.

I wonder if there is a geep running the southbound 2303 today.. I guess I'll find out later.

2303 is running a ALP-45DP for the first time in a while. 4521 leading 3 comets and 6061 trails.
