Three of the Kawasaki coaches were delivered to the MBTA Sunday around 6PM. CSX's NEP local L721 brought them over from Beacon Park along with 20 of their own cars!

Don't know the numbers...

Saw them at the BET, (with sery) anyone know what kind of testing they have to go through now?

pribably the same tests as before to see if the airbags work

Well they obviously have to test the airbags again, and any tests they didnt get to before but do they have to do all of them again, even the ones they already passed?

One of the threads a while back questioned whether the bi-levels could be positioned ajacent to engines.

This morning at South Station on Track 13, was a consist:
N-15xx-2xx-7xx-7xx-7xx-engine-S. This consist had automatic door-enabled cars ("D" after the car number), for use on the Old Colony lines.

So it is currently being done. That means that once the 900s are accepted, there can be solid trains of bi-levels, using one of the 900s as the lav car in the usual position next to the engine.

awesome, i can't wait to see a train of just bi-levels :-D

Three of the four Kawasaki's are going out for tests Saturday on the Lowell Line...usual spot.

The 900, 902, 903 with a F40PHM-2C and control car...

9AM on duty...

is that a 9AM BET departure?

Like I said...9AM on duty. Whether they leave shortly thereafter is up in the air. There are some tests to be done at BET. Don't know if that is first or after to road testing.

Today at 5:00pm, the consist was resting in front of BET:

Power operated doors. Allows conductors to open all doors remotely at high level platforms when the traps are closed. They can still manually key open a door they are at by themselves as well.
