Yeah, I noticed that also. I have heard that outside of shipping companies, Canadian Tire is the largest container label in Canada.

If it's only one, no big deal, but I know they were talking to CP/NBSR/JDI about more than just one within the last couple of years. There's no reason for that to have gone away as far as I know.

Haven't seen a Canadian Tire container in a while.
This is about the most plausible explanation I could find regarding the CT container from Oct-16. Thanks to "FromMaine":

"The Canadian Tire container was an inbound load likely destined for their RDC in Moncton. CPKC has established attractive rates and optimized transit time from Toronto to SJ in the hopes of snatching this traffic away from CN. CT has done a few trail shipments here and there but so far not bitten. Typically CT sends retail loads out to their warehouse, and tries to also backhaul import loads (crossdocked from ocean containers) from Halifax or SJ also unloaded at their warehouse. This keeps the containers productively moving loads both ways."

Container 109 was one Canadian Tire container westbound. One week turnaround.

What is that "engine looking" piece of Herzog equipment?

Enquiring mind wants to know.
