I remember back in the mid 70s there were two tracks on what are now pedestrian ramps to Chestnut Hill Ave. Never saw a car on them, but I would guess at the time an outbound D car could have been switched up the ramp to either turn back East or continue on the street to the C or B lines.

If I remember, the track was torn up around 1977/78, about when the Boeing LRV test car showed up.

I notice that the Green line will soon be bussed between Fenway and resivour, does that mean the link track between Cleveland circle and Resivour will be used?

The track for the D line between Fenway and Res. will be replaced. The C Line will still be used, AFAIK.

From reading the press release, it sounds like they will not push the C Line as an alternative.

They mention nothing about through trains via the C Line, nor about using it as an alternative.
