This "small" loco for broad guage in Spain is the only GL 12 built.
Are weight, type of traction motors etc known?

Hi I believe these use 4 EMD D29 Traction Motors as they are a 1bo-bo1 with an Gm D14 main Gen and with Delco A8102 aux gen.coupled with the 12-567c.
The frame was made lighter to reduce axle load as well as spreading the weight over 6 axles.

The axle spacing is unequal (it's maybe easiest to note the extra holes in the sideframes between the second and third axles (counting from the short hood end of the locomotive)), with the two trucks oriented assymetrically (i.e. elephant style, as on six-axle GE domestinc U and Dash-7 series). So, if Dash-7 is right and they are four-motor units, my guess is it is a 1B-1B rther than a 1B-B1. Which is weird: my impression was that six-axle, four-motor EMD export types were usually A1A-A1A.
