What is in the DM&E hoppers? Are they transloaded at Prima in Holtsville? Do any of the few faithful at NYAR know, John are you in the box? Interesting seeing those on NYAR trains.... :-)

Greg, Those DME hoppers are filled with bentonite for landfill lining. Probably Brookhaven landfill. Remember the BNSF Hoppers! Bill

Thanks, I thought maybe it was new business. Those have been spotted all over the Island. In 2001 they were spotted for Asplund at the West end of PW near New Highway. Then they went to Yaphank team. I think the last batch was Hicksville. We'll see where they end up in two years when they add another layer...
