I saw a Loaded Coal train in a werid spot today. Driving over the Rourke Bridge in Lowell there was a loaded Coal Train sitting below. Are there new customers to the north on the main line. Or do they pull it off the Stony Brook because it was canned and didn't want to tie up Stonny Brook?

It might be parked there due to a washout on the Northern.

The Northern??? The Northern starts in Concord, NH and goes north. The Coal train stops in Bow (south of Concord). The only wash out is on the other line which is in Northfield.

Train may have simply been parked for a crew change or outlawed...

Well, so it does. Don't know what I was thinking.

The Northern Main Line runs from CPF-NC in Chelmsford and runs North to Concord, according to Guilford. The Coal train was at Chelmsford probably because there was no room for it in Nashua.

They leave it there when the crew is out of time because of the double track (so as not to block up the Maine line). When there is a new crew they just double back with the power and head North..easy as 1,2,3.
