Heads up for this issue. The section called "Train Watchers' Paradise - William D. Middleton Recalls the Trains of Troy, NY" has many excellent shots of late '40s, early '50s action all around the Capital District.
Two of my favorites are B&A freight BA-4, in 1950, passing SK tower powered by an FA-FB-FA consist, and Niagara 6002 handily hefting #5 up West Albany hill in 1945.
