I just got off duty in North Bergen, NJ having taken the Q409-14 from
Selkirk, NY. Our power was CSXT 5269(ES44DC), CSXT 5119(AC44CW, dead
due to a mechanical failure enroute), CSXT 698 (AC60CW, added in North
Bergen to compensate for the dead 5119), and APRR 12, also dead in tow.
What is APRR 12 you say? APRR 12, is a SW-9, owned by and lettered for
the Albany(NY) Port Railroad, an industrial opertion in the confines of
the port of ASlbany NY along the Hudson River. they currently have
two "pups" and they are both painted in a blue and silver scheme with
red lettering and striping. Unit was built in 1956, according to the
blue card, and is enroute to Waycross GA for an apparent major
overhaul, at least according to the paperwork we received on the unit.
This is a neat looking, twin stacked little switcher, so look for it
heading your way. Recrew for the train to take it from North Bergen to
Baltiomore was on duty at 2 AM, I believe.

I know I'm getting old... My insurance company sent me only half a calendar this year!
