As of today 5/13/05 Crews are still working on Centerport Road crossing
M.P. 313 between the villages of Weedsport and Port Byron, NY.
Crews started on Tuesday with driveing pipes under the road crossing and under the railbed to the new crossing mount on the South Side of the rail.
Fiber Cables are installed on the Northwest side of the crossing and are being hooked up to the small sub station. The new gates are not yet installed but should be in with in the next 3 to 4 weeks.
Trees were also trimed along the Block house for the instalation of new leach lines It is unknowen if the septic system is being replaced. 7 tones of number 2 crusher run (Driveway Stone) was dumped possabley for the parking lot and maybe to cover the leach lines.
Bonta Bridge Road Crossing has not had any work done on it the backhoe, trailer, cable reels are still in place along with the container holding the new signal equipment. The New Crossing gate pedastals were droped off over the corse of the week. I beleve they were droped off on Wensday. AT&T, Sprint, and MCI showed up to mark there lines as well as these were not there on Wensday when I passed by there.
