Is the iron stairway at the far end of this platform still there? I browsed through the Images of America book Boston's Blue Line by Frank Cheney and came across a 1920s photo of the then-just-abandoned-platform (don't remember the page) that showed an iron stairway that leads up to Court St. Station... The photo in this thread is dark and even going there in person I couldn't see if the stairway is still there or not.

I myself own this book, and wanted to check it out myself, it is located on Page 38 on the bottom photo

Um, MBTAfan you misread it... those two posts refer to the concrete-made stairway on the current platform heading towards Bowdoin. I'm referring to the iron-made stairway (if it still exists) on the original streetcar platform heading towards State. Those are two different things.
