North Station currently set up to fit 12 tracks but for the last 10 or so years they have only been using 10; are they ever going to complete tracks 11 and 12? It wasn't to long ago that track 1 was non-existent as well.

When did track one not exisit???

Track 1 was in place but not connected to anything out near the draw bridge. Just like that of tracks 11 and 12 it was use to house a mobile office at the very end of the platform (most likely) due to all the construction going on. I want to say it was 5 or so years ago when track one was finally put into service again. Difference between track 1 vs. 11 and 12 is the rail for 1 was in place but the rails for 11 and 12 are still not in place and currently still store a mobile office and a punch of other stuff.

Connecting 11 & 12 will require demolishing part of Spaulding Hospital to reach the drawbridge. That's something that's long been talked about in some planning circles, but, its still there.

Spaulding is supposed to move to the Charlestown Navy Yard some time soon.
