I took a trip to Yosemite a couple years back and managed to get some railfanning in, which I've now all scanned, and I thought I'd share some of the highlights with those of you who are interested in Sierra Nevada railfanning.

First image is the Oakdale Local with a pair of just lightly patched bloody noses in the morning sun.

Second image is of the Sierra Railroad's Brunch train, also in that great morning light.

Third image took a lot of work to get to acceptable, I'll admit, but what a gorgeous engine, Seirra Railway's Considilation coming in to Jamestown.

Fourth image is now facing the right way for the sun, looking at the neat Sierra Railroad MRS1 at the roundhouse.

Fifth we have a shay on display at the Mother Lode Fair in Sonora.

Sixth is a pair of Blue Bonnets at Riverbank. There were a couple fans shooting the crap out of these units while I was there. Anyone recognize this shot?

Seventh is the logger at Fish Camp.

And eighth and last, is a cool little 25-tonner I saw outside Merced at Red Rock Winery.

Thanks so much for looking.

As always, corrections are always welcome.
