Thanks for the picture, Kim. I did not appreciate the GG1s when they were around, and I enjoy seeing pictures of them now. What kind of terrain is this bridge crossing out of camera range?

It still amazes me how much the cutoff has been degraded. I guess we should be glad its still around at all.

Yes we should. I haven't been there (to the flyover) in over 25 years.

I tried downloading Google Earth, and a message says that my operating system (ME) won't support it. Your 1977 photo shows a lot more open space than I would expect, given that the 1904 photo shows tracks running underneath the full length of the bridge.

Which side of the bridge was your '77 shot taken, using the 1904 photo as a reference point?
