As per http://railroad.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=128&t=68303" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; -OMID #4056 was apparently purchased by the Cuyahoga Scenic, which used the RS3 as a parts source.

According to the late George Hockaday, the 4056 was ruined when the scenic line attempted to start it in very cold weather without warming the oil or pre-lubing the engine. This caused bearing/crankshaft problems which led to the unit being parted out and scrapped.

On train BW10A, at Wayneport, summer 1976, SPS 4054 and 4056 trailing. Got out of work and beat it east just in time to catch the shot, little knowing the 4056 would wind up on OMID a few years later. I believe I have another pic taken a moment later which shows the 4056 better, but can't find it now.

OK, here's a view of the 4056 not too many have seen. Looking back from the OMID Jordan spreader as the 4056 pushes it during some ditching. Does not show the photogenic view, but it's a good look at the engine at work.
