What paint scheme did the early W&LE switchers wear in pre- NKP days ?

The W&LE only ever had 4 diesels, NW2's that were painted black. The only lettering was a W&LE stencil and number below the cab window. They were numbered D-1 through D-4. One is on display in Roanoake at the Viriginia Museum of Transportation.
