CNJ (and Everyone:) SEPTA has decided to honor Conrail as the primary predecessor to SEPTA's direct operation
of the Commuter Rail system along with PC and RDG on a Silverliner Four MU car #304...Good to know...
Something I remembered is that Conrail issued a Corporate Identification Manual in 1976 when the new logo and
colors were unveiled replacing the short-lived "ConRail" name - which was helvetica lettering in white on a gray
background with rectangular white bars top and bottom...On Page #33 there is a graphic of a Silverliner Four MU
car with the new CR logo symbol 1'4" - the decal measures 1'6'' by 2'2" - "to replace predecessor identification"
This Conrail logo - which was white on blue WITHOUT the word "CONRAIL" - was placed on the extreme right
on the side of the car next to the cab door with the openable window...The Conrail Historical Society has this
CR manual in their archival collection

My question is - Does the CR logo on #304 contain the word "Conrail"?
