On another board, I saw a video of the Cannonball Express leaving Penn Station.

C-3 #4071 had all the blue striping removed. Not worn away, totally removed.

Would #4071 be a premium or reserved car ?

Sounds like cheapness/cutting corners on paint.

NK: A C3 used in Hamptons Reserve Service has numbers up above all of the seats and extra cubbyhole space for luggage inside.
There is no special HRS markings on the C3 exterior carbodies.

DB: The C3 cars use 8 inch wide decal striping. In recent years some has developed splitting and in extreme cases fading to the point
of barely being discernible. Hard to believe that the C3 fleet now averages 19 years old (1998) and is showing signs of aging like this
example. As a comparison the 6 inch wide reflectorized blue striping on the sides of the DE/DM30s has held up well.
