A traveller from Bognor could take a train to Ashford International and pick up the Eurostar there. He would avoid having to cross London, perhaps by changing on to the Tube to get to St Pancras. To get to Ashford he would probably have to change trains once, in Brighton, but that would not require climbing stairs: he would merely have to walk from one platform to another. Ashford has the full passport control systems. Eurostar has a segregated platform there. He could book his ticket on-line. I would advise him to use his local station and not go to London.
