Are there many trains here still? Is it only CP? Any general info on watching trains in town? Thanks.

Probably more now than ever before……freight that is. Only passenger service through town is the Rocky Mountaineer during the summer. (VIA’s Canadian runs on CN)

Revelstoke is on CP’s transcontinental mainline so a constant parade of freight, coal, grain and double-stacks.

The tracks run parallel to the Main Street so lots of opportunity for phots and stay at the Super 8 on the west side of town.....ask for a room at the back that overlooks the tracks.
