From 1895 to 1902 the "Union Railroad, Elevator & Transportation" operated a grain elevator on Miami Street in East Toledo for use of all railroads, although many of them had their own. Can anybody say where on Miami Street it was? Any relics?

In the book "Toledo Railroads" there's an 1896 photo that shows the Union Grain Elevator as being just down stream from the LS&MS bridge. This would locate it in the vicinity of Miami & Navarre.
If you go to the Toledo Public Library's website there are some 1896-97 photos in the "Images in Time" section. (no trains in them though) When you get to that section run a search in the BLUE box for Union Grain Elevator.
I don't know if there are any relics left, I haven't been to that area since the last time a lake boat got stuck in the river!
