I was in Baden NC over the weekend and came across at least 5 Budd SPV-2000 cars (ex-Conn DOT?) at the old Alcoa Aluminum plant along with a VRE diesel (GP40?). Could not get a close location for a photo. There are a few YouTube videos from about a year ago showing these cars being hauled south through Acca Yard-Richmond, but nothing since then. Anyone know why they are there and their future?

Seven cars are visible on Google Maps Street View. These appear to be the seven that were sold to the "Foxville and Northern Railroad" (Atlantic Railways) - which operates the spur into the Badin plant - in 2018. The company apparently planned to lease them. Their website is no longer online; it's not clear what the future of the railroad or the SPV-2000s is.
