What, if anything, remains of the DL&W (E-L) Magnolia Street engine terminal in Syracuse, New York?

(deleted - he meant engine terminal, not the station)

no nothing left at all.most of the area where the round house and turn table was, is a high school ball diamond.the two bridges leading to the facility are the only things left.
the round house burned to the ground back in CR days, maybe 1976 or 77.

Charles: Thanks for the information. Photograped a pair of E-L Geeps at the engine facility in January, 1976. The turntable pit and sand tower were extant, but little else.

after looking at some slides and photos i realized i was mistaken.the round house did not burn in 74/75 but early after the conrail take over in 1976 or 1977.

That sounds correct . I photographed the engine service facility in November, 1975 in b&w and a portion of the roundhouse appears in one of the frames. In addition, a Erie steam engine tender was at the facility in full Erie markings.

Tender was offered to the CNY NRHS who declined due to it's lack of couplers. So it was cut up.

Not a great area to wander today -
