I've heard that Seashore has started work on a Boston picture window PCC? Comfirm/deny?

I have since learned that Seashore is restoring former Boston Picture Window PCC 3274 to operation and will paint it in the Grey Ghost scheme. They are currently fundraising.

It looks like CLRV 4027 has been retired. Only one of the cars Boston leased (4029) is still in service.

All three of the CLRVs Boston leased are now retired.

I'm wondering if the museum has a pair of old freight car trucks, 33" wheels that they would be looking to sell? Thanks.

Please excuse me for not reviewing all posts, but what is the status of the Budapest subway car? I rode them in service years ago and am wondering whether there's any interest in or possibility of restoring it at least cosmetically?

Granted, last time I saw it was a couple years ago, but at that time it was under cover in one of the carbarns and looked to be in fairly good shape cosmetically.

It appears that all three CLRVs Boston leased have been scrapped.

Seashore's Track Dept. has been spreading ballast in the Shop turnout project area using GE 25 ton diesel #150 and PRR H-31 hopper #222529. Friday we got the old Portec switch tamper running and began leveling and tamping the new turnouts.
Monday we start a project to replace a terracotta pipe culvert south of Tower 2.

With luck and skilled help, we excavated from the west until we reached intact terracotta pipe, 3-4 feet west of the ends of the ties. Were able to insert a sleeve in the intact portion of the terracotta pipe, and extended it west beyond the edge of the embankment. Then we backfilled the excavation, compacting by hand as we went. The old fill material had included a lot of large rocks. We had to bring quite a lot of fill material out to obtain a slope suitable for dirt. The Main Line should be ready for service again this week.

We're in the permitting stage for two new buildings on the Kennebunkport side of our campus: The first will house the "Maine Central Model Railroad" built and shown by Helen and Harold Beal, of Jonesport, ME. The second will replace our "South Boston Carhouse". The original sheet metal sheathed pole building is open on the south end and barely holds six streetcars. The replacement is planned as a 9-car weathertight steel building.
