I honestly think, the Soo line, the DME and all the ICE lines will be up for sale by the time this is all said and done, i work out of St paul and have never in my entire career seen CP turining and dropping bussiness as they have been in the past 6 months, another carrier such as UP will probally ...

You'd be surprised what sort of weird industrial switchers you can find on Class I's.

These in particular are pretty bizarre so the idea of BN having an industrial switcher isn't that much of a stretch.

I'm starting to think the rumor is BS. I've been seeing the same two Soo geeps (4410 and 4401) on the DM&E lines where I live along with Soo 2041 (GP40 but still).

Soo Line GP38-2's being sold?

According to the Soo Line fan page on Facebook the SOO geeps are being sold off which I have a hard time believing considering that a good majority of them are penciled in to be rebuilt. "According to someone in charge of things at the CP power desk, a handful of 4400 series have ALREADY been s...

Any idea when the first SD30ECOs are due out? CRO said that "One of the first SD30C ECO repower units was been sighted at EMD’s plant in Mayfield, KY. CP 5004 is nearing completion, and should ship before the end of the first week of December 2012. Photos will follow once the locomotive is in ...

Ah I figured. I thought they were delivered in the late 90s so there was a chance they could've been part of IC's order that way. Thanks for clearing that up! :)

IC C44-9W's

Does anyone know if the C44-9W's were originally going to be delivered in IC colors to IC right before the CN/IC merger or were they just part of CN's order and just got the "IC" subletter to balance out the roster?

A questing regarding CP's SD30C-ECO rebuild program

So according to Canadian Railway Observations, CP will be rebuilding the SD40-2F's in addition to the regular SD40-2's to make them more eco friendly. Does anyone know if the SD40-2F's will retain their unique cowl body shape after being rebuilt? Here is the link to CRO if anyone's interested; http:...
