Yes, that was it. Shame that the wayback machine didn't archive the audio files.
I did save them a while back for a project. I'll have to see if I can dig them up.

There was an audio sample page on the MBTA website maybe about a decade ago, but it's been gone for at least 5 years. As far as re-releasing them, the MBTA owns the rights to the announcements as they were recorded from an actual person (and the text to speech robovoice that comes after is also copy...
That is not true. I used the tracker to go see the green line cars in testing all the time. (actually I was trying to ride them, but when they showed up, they were not in service) The red line cars showed up on the tracker when they were in testing, long before they entered revenue service.
I should attempt to break this "record" the next time a blizzard shuts down most of the subway. If it's not running, I don't have to ride it, right?
Also consider that the line also serves West Roxbury and Roslindale. For some, the commuter rail to South Station is a lot more convenient/useful than the buses, most of which only go to Forest Hills.
I wonder if a rotating or scrolling destination would be possible with whatever controller they use for it.
The Blue Line uses a rotating destination to be able to display Government and Center alternating on the sign.
I don't think they can fit any more letters. The Type 9s have wider spaces for the signs, whereas, the signs are shoehorned into the smaller space where the old signs used to be, so they can't display any more without decreasing the font, which would affect readability, so the abbrevation is probabl...
Downeaster's cafe vendor is NexDine. Blonde On The Run Catering has been operating the Cape Flyer cafe since the train began operating 8 years ago, although I don't know if anything has changed for this year. The Cape Flyer website oddly has removed all mentions of the food services on board. It ap...
The Cape Flyer facebook page shared the first class car menu. The menu has the logo of a new catering company (Boston Catering and Events), and they mentioned that they were not able to make the alcohol happen this week (they're probably still waiting on their license) https://i.postimg.cc/CKthZPMH/...
The Cape Flyer facebook page has mentioned that they were working out an issue with the cafe service, and that they hope to have it resolved soon. It's definitely temporary.

I don't think so. Since the Boston College branch is only running between Boston College and Washignton st, there's a surplus of equipment, so I'm also seeing more Type 8-Type8 pairs than the usual Type 8-Type 7 pairs.
Also new this year is a First-Class club car. The new car will feature larger leather reclining seats with footrests and seat-side food and beverage service with an upscale menu, the CCRTA said. ... Ticket prices range from $5 to $40, depending on one’s destination. Seating in the First-Class club ...
I'd like to take a joy ride on all of Metro North's Connecticut branch lines this month before Waterbury becomes bus substituted next month, and I have a few questions. On weekdays, do they turn the same set at New Canaan, Waterbury, and/or Danbury? (Do they go right back? For example, does the 10:1...
They were a recipe for disaster to begin with! The T units weren’t worked anywhere near as much as the freight units yet they were both always shop queens. I enjoyed them for the the great visibility and quieter cabs they had but that was about it. T maintenance and Gensets def weren’t a good match...
