I am not familiar with the mileage involved but I don't think CP could turn Farnham BJ in 12 hours. Thinking about it I agree with some posters CP getting back into east of Iberville QC ownership a unlikely scenario. But we will see soon enough.

As cagy and flush with cash as CP I suspect Farnham to Jackman is about far enough. They are happy to get NBSR to maintain the unproductive Moose head.
I believe the western interchange point for CMQ/CP at this time is Iberville ?
Is there some type of haulage agreement in the wind that may offset this loss ?
How far west of Farnham does the CMQ operate ? Guessing the CMQ is operating over the old CP, does CMQ run all the way into Montreal's San Luc yard ?
I went over to NJT in 94 and they were all screamers. IIRC they had the blended brake added by Juniata when they were rebuilt and the AC/Delco HEP alternators were replaced by 680 HP CATs. NJT was having a hell of a time with wheel problems mostly corrugation and thermal cracking on coaches and Dies...
Have a great deal of respect for a man that puts in 41 years on an engine. Truly a master of the craft. He will be missed is a understatement. Rest in Peace Noel you earned it.
If I am reading this correctly the CMQ is producing 10 mil revenue before EBITDA ? Anyone recall what Fortress paid for CMQ ? IIRC 20 mil ?
They were poorly managed and under capitalized. Lac Megantic was the proverbial straw that broke the camels back taking down the whole enterprise.
Found it thanks cowford
Where could I find the Q2 report ?
Old friend of mine who is a big wheel on a class one told me he stores rail tank cars at several locations on the system and it returns a nice piece of change. The ebb and flow of the oil and gas business, due to change of seasons or economic down turn, result in the need to store tank cars and he c...
Who is painting the CMQ loco's Derby ? If so what a talented bunch. A few of the red barns were absolutely scabrous and they looked factory fresh after a trip to the paint booth. I don't care for the modern GE's they sound like cabbage choppers although this one looks brand new also. FWIW
Curious as to why it went out of business ?
CBC is reporting the Crown prosecutor has rested the case and it appears it will go to the jury on Monday January 8. The three ex MMA employees, including Engineer Harding, did not testify on their own behalf. It does not look good for the three and I expect a stretch in jail may be in their future.
