49-21 had a Horizon coach first out (assume it was deadhead) and an extra coach (assume it was from NY).
First extra coach I've seen since last Christmas season.

On the 18th, the Shore Line was closed to Amtrak trains for about 6 1/4 hrs due to fallen branches/overhead
wires near Canton Jct. What I don't know is why the last Amtrak west of Boston before the shutdown, 171,
lost 5 hrs BOS-Providence. Did they hit a tree or pull down the wires?
Thanks

This will be Fitter interlocking. Which track is O/S?

I learned that the grant pays for planning and design and that the connector will be about 2.5 miles long. Is it still the West Baltimore/Halethorpe area? Is the goal more to allow diesels and coaches used on the Penn Line to be maintained at Riverside, or to allow some Penn Line trains to serve Cam...

6704 was spotted in a cut from Beech Grove that CARDINAL 51 picked up on 9-11 and took to Chicago.
I presume it is one of the freshly overhauled units.

A CSX bulletin shows new TK 2 in service between CP JK and CP Vale. Also shows Rule 562 (operation by cab signals in lieu of intermediate block signals) along with PTC between CPF SL and CPF LJ. I believe this is the only R-562/PTC in effect over the former B&M.
