One of the things I have heard discussed is that while the T considers these cuts to be temporary most will likely be permanent. That is because the money they intend to save is through layoffs. And there is a very real chance that when the time comes to bring service back that they will have a pool...

Is there any more information on this and where can any pictures be found?

I tried searching for a news story on this derailment and I could not find a single thing. Nothing on any of the media outlets websites or on news.google.com.

1053 is currently operating on the wash train on the north side.

Would it be operating the wash rain while listed as awaiting repairs?

1035 and 1053 are what are currently on the Wash Train on the northside.
