Does anyone know if the roadway under the new 3 track Denton Ave./Tanners Pond Rd. overpass going to be widened to more than the one lane it currently is? https://www.amodernli.com/project/tanners-pond-denton-avenue-bridge-replacement/ will remain a single-lane thoroughfare. This was a commitment m...

Just a guess after they removed the option from Mail & Ride for a paper ticket and them trying to tell us how great that is.

All good for people at Willis Ave. but I thought that pedestrian overpass was going to be built at Main St. replacing the grade crossing that's being permanently closed. Main Street Grade Crossing Elimination In consultation with the Village of Mineola, vehicular traffic across the LIRR tracks is b...

t's odd, they didn't have a pedestrian walkway in the blueprints for School Street, unless I'm mixing that up with the blueprints for Willis Avenue next year. You're confusing it with Willis Ave. https://www.amodernli.com/project/school-street-grade-crossing-elimination/ https://www.amodernli.com/p...

2-This grade crossing location is tough to identify but judging by the two lanes this looks to be either Second Street in Brentwood or Carll's Straight Path in Deer Park along with the poles, tree growth and third rail protection board visible. That's when the Web Archive began.

Sunnyside was never designed to transfer to GCT. It was only for Penn Station trains. Besides the documentation from the MTA (linked below), look at its position on a map. It was placed after the cutoff to GCT. https://books.google.com/books?id=USs3AQAAMAAJ&pg=SA2-PA42&lpg=SA2-PA42&sourc...

since they chose not to build the Sunnyside area transfer point, Sunnyside was never going to be a transfer to GCT station. It was originally being designed as a replacement of HPA with connections to the area subways. If you've never read any of ESA studies, you might want to start with this one: ...

It sounds like their "modified holiday" schedule they use sometimes.

2. How will passengers from diesel country reach GCT? There will be a transfer station at Sunnyside. My impression from what I was told was that it would be a fairly quick across the platform transfer. Of course, we know that LIRR dropped this Sunnyside transfer station from their plans and has nev...
