Maybe we should resurrect this idea for the Princeton Branch....

Or maybe lease the Colorado Rail Car they tested (if it even exists anymore. I know the company doesn't.).
Murphy said “We’re fixing it. We’re gonna learn from this. I’ll be damned if it happens again.”
Does that mean a bigger operating budge so they can hire crews just to work the special event rather than using crews already working?
Just a reminder that the Jersey Central Railway Historical Society's annual train show at Mother Seton High School in Clark NJ will be held this Sunday, March 3 from 9 AM to 3:30 PM.

Here's the thread, which you started! No wonder I remembered it was here.
Dig around on the site here, there was a whole tread devoted to this subject. NJT was going to use it then didn't because it was flood prone (lived all my life in Rahway and never saw any flooding in the yard).
Stiles Street Yard has been used as an overflow yard for Port Reading in the past. I guess it could even have been excess cars for the tank car facility on the line there.
If you have a million or two to throw at the project, I'm sure that would sped things up.

Sun rises in the east so AM for arrivals, PM for departures.
Don't forget about the light rail as well.
Haven't we griped here previously that NJT can never buy anything off the shelf that matches what someone else has been using successfully?
As much as NJT might want to rid themselves of the AC line, I don't see that happening. Two words: Norcross, Sweeney.
NJT rescued the line form Amtrak as a gift to South Jersey in exchange for things North Jersey wanted. Too much power between these two for anything to happen to the AC line.
One long, heavy train with one crew is advantageous to several short fast, trains with multiple crews from a shareholder value view, which is all that mattered to Hunter.
