This article references the removal of an unused RR bridge http://wivb.com/2017/06/18/depew-constr ... gh-summer/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. Curious as unable to place via aerial view exactly which this line was. The news video shows rails in place although may be old file footage.
Any ideas? thanks Mark

It's the exLehigh Valley railroad bridge over Transit. It does not have tracks on it.

Look here at Bing Maps: https://binged.it/2tXwQ8g" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Going south from Walden Road on Transit:

1st bridge - CSX main
2nd bridge - exLV
3rd bridge - exDL&W - operated by shortline DL&W
4th bridge - NS main

In the beginning of the video, you could see "SPEED LIMIT 30" and there's reference marker below that sign.

Then you could go to google earth and use street view and look for that sign. The bridge is right there that they are talking about... And unfortunately... or fortunately... depend on your perceptive... OBVIOUSLY, they're talking about WRONG BRIDGE... Hopefully that the contractors aren't really stupid as these tv news crews... :P

Thanks. Suppose the bridge they did use for the news was easier to access, what difference was the wrong bridge!!!
Gave me a chance to follow the rail trail to the west which is on the LV? And to the east to see Lancaster used the ROW over Central ave for their Commerce Drive. Driving under that overpass never realized it was ex LV????

TV news outlets often use what they call "B roll" footage. Basically, it's just stock footage to add a visual element to the story they are reporting. Chances are good that WIVB shot the scene at Transit Road well in advance of the project.

Foamers and retired RRers alike will point out the wrong bridge being shown, but they miss the bigger point: Transit Road is going to be a mess this summer.
