Railfanning in the afternoon

Hi, I have chance to railfan in North Jersey sometime mid afternoon someday this week and was wondering where I could catch the most freight traffic around that time (csx/ns?). I was thinking either Bound Brook or Ridgefield park as spots to go to. Any thoughts where I might find the most trains?

that would depend on the day of the week.
Ridgefield Park has some action late mornings/early afternoons on Monday,Tuesday, and Friday.
Bound Brook has action on all day Sunday and late afternoon/early evening Thursday

that's just from my many experiances at these locations

bound brook can busy at any time. there sometimes a pause in action about miday. thursdays there has been long 33k tying up a track while it works manville yard. there groups of fans thursday, sat miday. Also sun morning can get busy.
