This little short line ran south of the "Western Maryland" just east of Gettysburg for just over a mile to a quarry by a prominent hill, about a century ago. The hill is now shown on the USGS as covered by a wood, south of York Rd between Hoffman Rd and Granite Station Rd.

Is there any archeology there to see, or is it inaccessible? Somebody who knew Gettysburg as a boy would like to know.

Looking at the aerial photo, I can't imagine that there is nothing left at all.

That's the one. Looks like a wood on the photo. Might be worth metal detecting, if there's no security.
