Nipsco Switcher

I caught a glimpse of the Nipso plant switcher in Michigan City the other day. I'd seen a few pics. What is it? It looks like a very little geep. The frame looks like that of an SW8/9/7/600/1200. When do they usually get those trains? How hard is it to catch that thing?

Which one are you refering too. I think they still have an old SW1. The other is blue and looks to be an old ALCo unit converted into a remote control cab. I haven't got any pictures of it, myself. I think there is one pic of it one Railpictures.net
