I'm back living in Chicago, and I knew there had to be some railfanning done my first day back. At 4:45 I put down a large stack of contracts and hoofed over to Clybourn and watched UP-N/NW trains leave town for 40 minutes. Friggin glorious, man. Glad to be back. I can't complain about the trainwatching outside of Kansas City where I lived for three years, but I like passenger trains best. I saw 553 headed north with the important old guys on board, and a double-header on UP-NW, complete with the lead unit running but HEP cut out - a little throttle never hurt anybody...
