Saw several four car sets along the Forest Park branch of the Blue Line on Friday night just after 8:00pm. I wonder what time the CTA starts cutting sets after the rush?

I think it depends on the route. Up until a few years ago for instance, Blue would start cutting about 6:30-7pm or so, Brown about 8pm, and Red would run 8's well into the evening, until at least 11pm. But as we begin to get into the warmer months, 8 car trains will be the norm pretty much 24/7; and this may include the Brown line as well, which has recently begun running 8-car trains...

Looks like 4 car sets aren't just limited to nights. I saw one 4 car set going west on the Forest Park branch during today's midday.
