I took 65 pictures in total. I've put 7 online so far, although I have lots of other good ones. Notable was the point around 3pm when a large group of bus fans from NYC all boarded the trolley, filling it to capacity.

I also wanted to add that I was thrilled with the turn out there was today. There were not only railfans, there we students, local residents and regular passengers that got on the cars.

I hope this shows SEPTA that if you just put the cars out there, people will ride them.

Excellent photos everyone! Really impressed with the turnout today. Was in W Philly around lunchtime..and the trolleys were indeed packed. My pix are still in the box...will take to the lab Monday.

I too was impressed by the cross section of people the ridership represented. I'd counted on the campus being deserted and almost entirely overrun by railfans clustering around the tracks. The latter did occur, but the former most certainly was not true.

I also had a camera there, and I'll only preview my one pic, which I belive to be the best, you can check the rest of them on my little crappy thumbnails site.

OK what year is it again?...if not for the bubblehead on the PCC and the few autos in the background, it'd be hard to tell.

Just a question...

Did the PCC doors always open in? I thought that they used to open out.

... ???

The front doors opened in, while the rear doors opened out:
