This is what I have so far over the last two days:

Train2009, I think I saw you at Botanical Garden today. I was at the south end of the inbound platform. By the time 49 arrived, the weather really went south:

I plan to try again tomorrow as the weather is supposedly better.

Hope you all enjoy!

For Saturdays AMT 284 and 292 will run to GCT without MNRR power for tracks 38-39 and loop for 35-34 respectively.
I always wanted to see the loop tunnel.
Ya think Amtrak would sell me a seat to ride the loop ???? :-D
Ahh, no.

Hi all, thanks for the compliments! Upped more pics to the Hickory Creek and Rare Mileage albums from today. Ran into a couple of railroad.net members at Marble Hill. I couldn't forgive myself if I let the weather stop me yesterday

Train2009, yes I made it back to Botanical Garden, this time the outbound platform, again on the south end. I did see someone shooting at the north end. Was that you by any chance?

Capecodlocoguy, District D RTC and Otto were spotted at Pelham Station taking pictures of Amtrak 49 AKA The Lake Shore Limited(MN # 149).

So it seems that no matter how many times DRN posts that Amtrak locomotives can not and will not run/lead into GCT, they still did! That's awesome. Seems it was even part of the published operating plan, as was mentioned by one person who picked up the booklet at Penn Station.

Awesome shot!

Yes a great shot, with the Viewliner sleepers as the train passes the old Kingsbridge Sub-station.

But I love Vin's shots too, of 49 on the Harlem Line. Imagine watching Fordham-Tremont-Morrisania roll by from the comfort of a sleeping car compartment??

Did anyone catch them changing power at New Rochelle, or going around the Wye?

If you go to North American Railroad Photos, I posted some shots at MO, Hell Gate, and a few others.
