WLS channel 7 in Chicago reported that a "very credible" terrorist plot involving suicide attacks in Hudson River rail tunnels between New Jersey and New York City was foiled and arrests have been made in countries outside the US. Until now the focus had been on the Holland Tunnel for vehicular traffic between Jersey City, NJ and Canal St, NY. The rail tunnels in question could have been any or all of the following:

PATH between Exchange Pl. Jersey City and World Trade Center, NY,
PATH between Hoboken, NJ and Christopher St. Sta., NY, and
AMTRAK/NJT (former PRR) tunnels between Secaucus Jct, NJ and Penn Station, NY.

Had any of these attacks actually happened, the loss of life could have been well over 1000 plus the potential for flooding of the tunnels which would have disrupted westbound rail transportation into/out of NYC for quite a long time.

This is some very scary stuff, indeed! I'm glad some action had been taken in preventing these a**holes from moving beyond the planning stages!

How do you "blow up" a tunnel? Maybe I should watch more Sylvester Stallone movies?

Flooding? Considering that the level of the Hudson is below street level in Manhattan...well.

Creditable plot...crap!
